Well, since the winter broke I'm back @ it again. The wiring, battery box, brake lines & exhaust are the next items. Then comes final equipment install, A/C, 15K winch, interior & weather stripping.
Well, we are finally getting some springtime weather here in the Pacific Northwest. Need the temps up to the 60-70"s so I can start the paint and finish the Helix Diesel '69 FJ40. Still have to install the 15KLB Warn winch but then it's play time, I hope. Soon as the paint is done I'll update...
Installed the body tub to check clearances, fit perfect. Body back off firewall stripped of existing equipment, starting body prep for paint, wiring and interior seating. 2" suspension & 2" body lift.
I need the wiring harness body connector for the ECU (a 2 row 12 pin - 6 on top & bottom dark grey) for a 1999-2000 Toyota 2.4LTE diesel ECU. It is the connector that has the Battery power, Glow main rely, turbo lamp, A/c relay vehicle speed sensor, glow plug lamp, Power circuit/s, Glow plug...
Got the chassis done , working on body now (rminor rust repair) then will lower onto the frame and start interior finish out. Interior is Gray leather 4Runner including 2001 center console. Then paint Dark Forest green with black accents, then shrink wrap body & windows with forest camo design.
Does anyone know who might manufacture a 4.30 ring and pinion for the FJ40 stock (international type solid axel) front axel? I went to Nitro and they do all except for 4.30. WTH ?

Doing research on gearing for Toyota differentials I ran across this spreadsheet information for pinion flange splines, flanges, years and options available. Hope this helps anyone doing a swap, upgrade, gearing or conversion. Just thought it might be helpful and save someone some time...
I need a core support frame for my '69 FJ40, can't find the original so have to replace. Does anyone have a frame (U steel frame with studs that sits on the mounts that the radiator bolts to) I can purchase or a line to get one?? All help is appreciated.

05/2020 Motor installed, Motor mounts made & installed, frame work underway & new rear axel ready to R&R with original. Rear axel 1994 4Runner 4 pin. Waiting for leaf spring perches to arrive and 4" suspension lift kit.

I am trying to buy a solid axel rear axel Toyota differential with 4:10 gears for my project '69 FJ40. A member told me 98 to 2004 Toyota axel would work so I tried to order one from a vendor. I got this reply from "Used Car & Truck Parts Unlimited" :

I have a 2.4 Ltr LTE Turbo Diesel that I am installing in 69 FJ, diesel has full-time 4WD auto trans (5 speed). The FJ original rear end is offset to side, the diesel needs straight in center rear, offset to right front, same gear ratio. Anyone have suggestion as to model/year drive axels I...
