Aftermarket suspension will really show results. A year after my dad got his '05, he had skyjacker lift kits installed in it. Softening the current suspension and with a 4" lift did reduce the bounce, but not totally eliminate it. But it's definitely a smoother feeling with the skyjacker on.

Or you can try a willybar. It's expensive but it looks nice. :)

I agree, the downshift is really a bugger. An info I got from my local dealer, he said that the new camry really uses all it's 6 gears. That's why it shifts down AND up.

I have read about Tundra brake problems especially with the 2008 models. I am not sure if the blog is a genuine one. I forgot to copy the link though, now I can't find it and yeah, every car manufacturer has some problems except maybe for the Rolls-Royce, otherwise the Queen won't like it hahaha
