the 4.7L is truly a waste of money. I guess one could justify it if all they couldn't qualify for credit to get the 5.7L but in my opinion they should go home and save up more money until they did qualify. The 5.7 just makes so much more sense.

I would imagine that those people that the 4.7l would appeal to are those that need it for a specific reason such as towing. If you are needing it to tow a boat, horse trailer, RV, etc - you want that extra torque

4.7 has been around for a while with Toyotas. It's a proven good engine. Also, what are you saying 5.7 has better MPG? It depends on where you are driving.
That being said, I'd still go with 5.7 myself.
