Probably every third oil change.

Really? How do you like those? What type do you run and what types of benefits are you getting from that?

There great. Initial expense is greater but after one year or so they paid for themselves. Low maintance and seem to function as well as anyother filter I've ever used. I have just used the filter, I haven't install a new breather system. There is a claim of better preformance but I didn't see any hugh bump in mileage or performance. Cleaning is simple and straight forward.

What are the k&n filters made out of?

They are well made with a metal mesh to keep the shape and maintain durability.

What is Toyota's suggestion on when to change air filters? And are there the in cabin filter and the regular one that must be changed like the Toyota cars?
