How much are lifts? Any particular ones to get?

I have been slowly doing more and more work on my truck myself. I want to get away from using mechanics and take care of my baby myself. So, I think it makes sense for me to get one, what lifts are the best or worst?

There are a couple of different types of Toyota Truck Lift Kits and lifting options available.

What's your overall goal for your truck? Do you want to just add a little bit of clearance for going over rough terrain, or are you looking to put on larger wheels and tires? You've got body lifts, suspension lifts, etc. Plus, they range from just adding an inch or two, all the way up to 6" or 12" lifts (which is a lot!)

Still debating.....ultimately for going over rough terrain, but I wouldn't mind eventually putting on some larger wheels and tires too. I think right now I am more interested in a suspension lifts...
