Not sure how many of you follow females racers and off-roaders.
Tuesday we lost a dedicated and talented female off-roader and race car driver.
Jessi Coombs.
She died at Alvord dry lakes Oregon trying to break her own speed record she had set in 2013.
She had served as host for a handful of automotive based shows and was a well trained and talented mechanic and fabricator that was getting better all the time. Most recently she was working on All Girls Garage.
I met Jessi the first time in 2008 at a Toyota Truck Jamboree at Barnwell Mt. Texas.
She had just hired on as s host for an Off-Road truck show and the producers sent her out to meet & Greet her future fans.
Over the next few years I was lucky enough to run into her a few more times at Toyota Jamborees and a few other off-road events.
Sad to see her go, but I believe she would feel If something like this were to happen she'd feel better about being in the drivers seat when it did happen.
