Hi everyone!
This is a long story, but I will cut it short.
Yes, I did everything to keep my pickup from overheating. replaced the junk aftermarket radiator with the original and rodded it out. New water pump, hoses, factory thermostat, fan clutch, you name it.
It only overheated on the freeway going up grades, btw.
It turned out to be the A/C condenser!
It was partially clogged with old antifreeze from the leaking aftermarket radiator, (long story) and many of the condenser's fins were bent over.
Since I am upgrading the a/c system from R12 to 134a, and I started to suspect the condensor, I removed it, and sure enough, the engine is running cool again!
