The 2014 Toyota Tundra has 3 wheelbases, bed lengths and cab configurations; as now the industry standard All 4 door models retain the front-hinged rear doors, most variations offer a choice of rear wheel or 4WD, and many offer at least two different engines.
The Engines specs is as follows,
270-hp 4.0-liter V6 with 5-speed automatic
310-hp 4.6-liter V8
381-hp 5.7-liter V8 with the 6-speed automatic
Modifications for the chassis consist of refinements to shocks, steering and noise and vibration reduction, and so tow ratings should mirror the 2013's top ratings of 9,000-10,400 pounds.
Take Note in the full-size pickups that only Toyota adheres to an SAE standard for tow ratings adopted years ago that would promote apples-to-apples comparisons.
The current Trim are levels of steel-wheel SR and SR5, mid-level Limited, and luxury Platinum. Now with addition by 1794 Edition.
The 2014 Toyota Tundra cabin is more coherently designed, the slightly scattered prior arrangement now neatly organized. Controls are easier to reach, instruments easier to view, and a data screen added; Bluetooth and rearview camera are standard on every Tundra.
Rather that decaled on now the tailgate has the Tundra named stamped on it. The mirrors and rear lights have small aerodynamic fins for stability. There is even talk of headlights that can be re-aimed for towing or hauling heavy loads.
