Just bought a 2009 Tacoma. LOVE IT. Got a Leer 700 tonneau in contrasting color - looks great but had to 86 the OEM siderail tiedowns. Anybody know how to replace siderail tiedowns? Thanks.

Thanks for the welcome.
"86" is slang for "get rid of". The installation of the tonneau partially covers the side rails where the tiedowns are located. The original tiedowns had to be removed. I'm working on a plan to make my own tiedowns out of polycarbonate rod stock. Should work if I can get the measurements right. What do you think?
