Looking For Good Toyota Mechanic In Denver Area.

My 98 Tacoma needs a good mechanic in the Denver area. It's having brake issues that have proven to be difficult to diagnose. Any recommendations?

The problem is totally random braking moments where it seems like the ABS kicks in (not going fast or
hitting the brakes hard, but feel the shudder that ABS can cause as it grabs...). It does not happen every time, but it does happen while braking and just before the truck comes to a complete stop. Several mechanics, both independent and dealer, have looked and have not been able to pinpoint or fix the problem. Any suggestions?

When was the last brake service? Are the brake pads new or worn down? How does the pedal feel when you have to lightly press on the brakes at speed? Does the steering wheel vibrate when you hit the brakes?

Most any dealer that you go to will fix your brakes for you, no problem. They're just about to be 30% more than a smaller shop, but you know it will be done right and they have better equipment and more specific knowledge about your issues than a general repair shop ... usually.
