Im really ticking off everyone behind me, but ive been Using these really annoying but definitely fuel saving techniques to maximize my fuel economy on my drive home. I'm starting off very very slowly then putting my cruise control on at a lower speed and using that instead of my foot to gain up acceleration. Right now it's actually increase from the photo I took at the last stop and I met 23.2 miles per gallon

Drove about 10 miles. Annoyed a few people. Turned truck off at lights, etc.

18.9 MPG. But it's no way to live.

starting off from a full stop takes a lot of energy to get a big truck moving, this is why many major auto manufacturers have gone forward with electric start/stop systems to shut off the engine when you're just idling at a stop light or sitting in a parking lot coming your hair before you go into a store. Plus you then don't get people honking at you because you're moving slowly.
