2004 Tundra - seat cover recommendations?

I am a new owner of this 2004 Tundra SR5 and I love it. The truck is in really excellent condition and I want to keep it like that. The upholstery is really clean with no tears, so I figure I'll get some seat covers to protect it.
I don't want to spend a lot, and I really only need to do the front seats.
So far, I'm drawn to Durafit for $76 shipped:
Durafit at Amazon

I think Costco sells some quite affordable ones, but these Durafit seem to be more custom fit for this truck.

BTW- the truck is dark blue with tan interior. Opinions?

As long as it covers the seat section all the way, you should be good. My wife bought me a seat cover for my 97 Silverado after I did a Tahoe bucket seat swap. The OE seat was worn on the seat section, and was a 60-40 split seat, but the back was still good. Well the new seats, or Tahoe bucket seats being in good shape, I put the seat cover on the drivers side. It sucked. It was made out of some weird materal. It kind of fell apart in no time. Now I put a towel over the seat section during the week. Weekends I remove it. I work in a machine shop, as a welder, so some times, my jeans are dirty and who knows if I have some metal shavings on them. You can see where the materal was waring out on the original seat. Yes the fabric is the same on both seats.

Kenny- what brand of seat cover are those?
Oh, thats the factory original seat covers. I found my bucket seats at a swap meet at a car show. They came out of a 96ish Tahoe. GM original fabric. Its not a seat cover per say. We have an automotive upholstery shop, next door to where I work. He did my headliner in my truck a few years ago, but He wont touch my seats. I wanted to keep the original 60-40 bench seat, and get it recovered. No body will do it, because GM glued the fabric to the seat cushion. So to get that off is a PIA. When I saw the Tahoe seats at the car show, and I saw it was the same original fabric,I had to have them. I asked what He wanted. He said make me an offer. I said I'll give you $60 cash rite now. At first He was reluctant. He said He would take $80 and throw in a broke up console. I said no, and all I have in my pocket rite now is $60. I will pull up my truck, give you $60 and you dont have to lug them back home. He finally said OK. I looked for front seats for my truck for a long time before I found these. Like you, I try to keep my truck close to original as I can but with some subtle changes. Things that unless you own a truck like mine, you would think it came that way from GM. My dash gauge cluster is out of a Denali. 120 MPH speedo instead of 100 MPH. There are a bunch of things like that on my truck.

A few months ago, my son wrecked His 2008 Ram. Its totaled. He is OK but need some PT. We found Him a 2010 Tacoma, single cab. The drivers seat, the springs under the seat that support the cushion, were broken. I told Him, dont worry, we will get you a set of seats at pull-a-part. We found a set of seats in a KIA Reo, that were in good shape. So after drilling some new holes, and grinding down the seatbelt tab to fit the seatbelt sockets on the Kia seats. He says He loves His seats. He also wanted a camper shell for the back. My neighbor across the street tried to give me one several years ago, but its for a small truck, and I didnt want it anyway. So I drag this thing home, and my wife strips off all of the old silver paint, and clear coat. I rebuild the rotten hardware and make some clamps at work that secure the top to the truck bed. So I guess you could say, my boy got His Christmas early. I paid for everything, not to mention it took a few weeks of work ro get that camper top rite.

My truck is a 97 Silverado. It is in near show room condition. I put it in our local car shows all the time. It gets a lot of attention. It is my dailey driver. Where I go, it goes. My wife has a 2004 4 runner. Here are a few pics.

We striped off the clear coat on both my truck and Her 4 runner. Then I buffed them out with a cotton buff, and some white jewelers polish, then a hand polish with some white diamond metal polish.

nice work guys. a few years ago i took the bench seat out of my 1985 toy truck. put in a seat from an 83 parts truck, but had a new seat cover made for the bench, cost 85 bucks, custom made. i have a quote to fully rebuild and reupolster the old seat (it has broken springs) for 400 bucks. but i dont have a garage, so i dont want it to look too good. been stolen but recovered once, been broken into in an attemped steal on a different occasion. these old trucks are becoming more pricey as the years roll by.

Look at that auto dealership commercial for preventing auto theft, it's called "Trunk Monkey, auto theft protection" I think. Laughed when I first saw it, what a world we have to deal with.
