    22r Carb Fuel Issue

The condition wasn't bad at all. I got it from my seventh grade math teacher that I have kept in contact with all these years (like 45+ years since I was in her classroom). It smelled of moth balls when I got it but that eventually faded away. The hot water heater leaked then as it does now...

    22r Carb Fuel Issue

Thanks for the information on the placement of the check valve. My son seems to think the fuel return line to the tank is why there is little to no gas available after shut off that it may be siphoning it back into the tank. I don't know! I no mechanic! I just couldn't find anyone around...

    Renovation of 84 Toyota pick-up

That is a lot of work! Big undertaking to do all that but looking good. I have an '84. Hate those factory seats. Hot vinyl is not fun in the summer. I am thinking of taking it in this summer to have the seats redone with cloth but only if they can also remove the vinyl.

    22r Carb Fuel Issue

Thanks for that information tbplus 10. We (my son and I) had discussed putting in an fuel check valve on the fuel line but was unsure of where it would be the most effective. He thinks near the fuel tank but I am more inclined to put it in the engine compartment on the fuel line near the...

    22r Carb Fuel Issue

I have a 1985 (titled as but actually a 1984 pickup) Dolphin Motor Home with a 22R carb engine. It has always been hard to start and I let it sit for years then it wouldn't start at all! It had no fuel in the sight glass but the fuel pump was working (I actually replaced it years ago thinking...

Toyota Oil Change Prices: What do you pay?

I refuse to pay the dealers (or quick oil change places) their price. The only time I went to the dealer was when it was included in the manufacturer warranty. It seemed that they always had something else they wanted to gig you on. "We noticed you cabin filter is a bit dirty, you better...

    Brake suggestion 1984 Truck

It is a Toyota truck with the Dolphin motor home on the bed. Actually, it says Sunrader on the labels but from what I was able to figure out, Sunrader either merged or was bought out by Dolphin after this was made. Thanks for the link. I will check it out. Vic

    Brake suggestion 1984 Truck

I have a 84 truck (22R engine) with a 85 dolphin motor home body and a dually rear end. It has 179,000 miles on it but I have only had it for about 6,000 miles. The front brakes are going to need to be replaced soon. Have not checked the rear yet. The dealer won't tell me anything except to...

Toyota Oil Change Prices: What do you pay?

Nothing in life is free! You may not have to pay labor but you still have to buy the oil and filter. I change my own and buy the oil and filters when they are on sale and stash them away. I figure a Fram filter and Castrol oil is equal to or better than what the dealer uses.

    Advice on Tacoma's

I am going to go back to the dealer and see what it will take to get a Tundra I think. I may have to wait for awhile while I am putting away my spare money (lol-with three kids in college, what is that?) That problem with the shuddering when it is crusing and the engine is under little stress...

    Advice on Tacoma's

As you can see, this is my first post here. I am not criticizing or bashing the truck. I really like the cabs in these trucks but I am concerned about something else. I went test driving a couple models today and I am curious about something. I went to two different dealerships and had the...
