I have an 86 toyota p/u fuel injected. It has been sitting for some time 1-2 months. I went to start it and i am getting no engine crank. I get all my lights and music. when I turn the ignition the cd player and center console light go out and I am getting a clicking sound from the relay...
Do not see any coolant in the oil. Drives good IMO. Dosnt get very good gas milage and is a turd pulling hills. But then again I am not sure what I should be looking for
is there any other reason why there would be oil ..? I have been told that there is 2 plastic guides in the front of the engine that if cracked can also do the same thing.
So yea I have oil in the radiator and want to find out what are some of the causes of this. I have talked to a few mechanics and have been told It could be a few things. wanting to know a few cheap easy diag. things I can do before taking it in thanks.
you should have a tpms on your truck. That is where I would keep it. Toyota is a pain to deal with when the psi is changed. I work in the tire industry and we set almost all tires at 35 psi . there is a lot of Toyotas that put 10 ply tires on and the Psi gets set to high. imo 35psi for day...
Cool thank you. ! Yeah I am looking to get about the same as before. Feels like I have alittle more power but still crappy fuel. I am on pace for about 180 this tank. What are you getting now ? Some one also told me to check the fuel pressure regulator
I have not checked compression yet that is the one thing that I want to do. I do not know how but I will be looking into it. And I have not checked the smell. What should I be smelling for ? I will check tomarrow.
It seems like the mornings are the worst I can see the gage drop within the first 15 miles. Might be me. I havnt ran a full tank yet and on pace for about 220
