I've got an older one I'm not using. I replaced mine about 2 years ago. I'd be willing to sell it to you for about $50 obo. I don't live near Iowa, but if you'll be near Virginia anytime soon you can pick it up or I could ship it to you. I don't have a picture of it right now but I can take one...

I'd say go with a suspension lift. And yes, I've heard good things about Explorer Pro Comp suspension kit as well. They are decent. I wouldn't really recommend installing it yourself. It's better to leave that to the professionals.

I have a camper shell on mine and I've taken it camping before. I just put a small futon mattress in the bed and had a little Coleman lamp back there. It was great!

I'm not that into using GPS unless I absolutely have to. Most of the time I know how to go where I wanna go, though.

I've seen that episode. Top Gear is a great shows and Hilux is one tough Toyota indeed. In one other episode they drove a Hilux across the English channel as well. Here's the video:

I have driven my Tacoma through something like that too. Didn't hurt it at all.

I have a Tacoma from 2008. Already have 54 000 on it. Still going strong.

I have a pretty new Tacoma that already had a pretty decent stereo system in it. Haven't changed anything.

Well I'm sure they won't hurt your car. However, I don't think they are all that beneficial either. I've never used anything like that and my truck runs like clockwork.

Some of the newer vehicles don't really have a specified interval for replacing the fuel filter. Some even have these "lifetime" filters that ,as the name states, never need to be changed. I personally make sure my Toyota gets a new fuel filter every few years. It's not completely necessary...

Making their cars rustproof is something Toyota has failed to do in numerous cases. I still hold Toyotas above all the other cars, though.
