Reprogramming charge for door locks??

A buddy of mine went to the dealer to have his 4Runner's door locks reprogrammed and they wanted to charge him $60. He was not happy needless to say.

Anyone else run into this issue?

Some Toyota dealers may work with you on this. My sister had to have some codes ran and they did not charge her for it. So, I think it depends on the dealer you are working with.

I say make friends with your Toyota dealer - get to know them well and they may pat you on the back in return.

What do you mean? Are you talking about getting new keys made or programming a new remote keyless entrees fob?
