New Member in Wisconsin Hill Country ISO a Farm Truck!

Greetings to everyone~

What a great forum! I live with my wife and daughter on a smaller farm in the Driftless area of Wisconsin. We have a small range of critters and plenty to keep us busy and outside in any weather! I came here to do some research on a Hilux vs a Tacoma to decide what would be best for pulling a 2 horse trailer or less. Dang there's so many different models and options and engines it seems I have a lot to wade through! Oh well I'm used to it....

Welcome to the site. Where is the driftless area of Wisconsin?

Hi Steve,

It's the pocket of non-glaciated land in the SW corner of the state. We are about 20 miles S of La Crosse and 10 miles East of the Mississippi.

Thats a nice part of the state, I have an aunt and uncle near there, they have a house on the river a few miles above LaCrosse and another uncle has a farm near Brockway. Backed up to tthe Black river state park.Visited the area many times in the 70's and 80's

Like many places, there is a very unique beauty here. Almost no lakes, lots of winding streams and rivers, (famous for trout) and tons of springs. I have a neighbor who has a spring where 150 gallons a minute gushes right out of the ground.
