New 2021 Toyota Tundra Pickup Truck? Will that be the next generation?

There's been a lot of buzz about 2021 being the year that Toyota gives us (finally) an all-new Toyota Tundra. The last generation platform change was 2007! How's that for getting your money's worth out of a platform?

The core report came from the Automotive News and Toyota has not yet announced official plans for this.

Check out Toyota's web site on "Upcoming Vehicles". They are announcing several 2021 Tundra models to be available in Spring/Summer of 2020, and they all look to be current gen to me. Just trim changes apparently. Maybe 2022?

On another forum, someone posted that a "Toyota insider" (yeah, right) stated that the next gen Tundra wouldn't be available until 2022. This seems to match what I've read elsewhere, namely that 2021 will still be a carry-over of the current truck, with some trim changes only.

That seems to fit with timing as it's already late February 2020 and we've not seen anything yet. It takes a while to gear up for a next generation.
