Engine noise on 2012 Tacoma

My truck doesn't have a lot of mileage, but I am hearing engine noise.

There is a loud noise coming from my engine. Luckily I have my 2014 Sienna to drive. It gets slower and faster with engine idle. Could the rocker arm be hitting the valve cover? Is this engine knocking or pinging?

The engine light is not one. Any advice?

Maybe something is loose. Did you check to make sure that some screw didn't come loose? It could be many things. Please provide some more details and maybe I can provide more help. Good luck with your 2012 Tacoma.

How many miles are on this Tacoma? A 2012 is pretty young for an engine knock. I would try to check all other possibilities first, that doesn't seem like an old enough truck for that type of issue.
