Double cab Tacoma versus Access cab?

I am curious as to some of the benefits of the double cab versus the access cab. What are some of the benefits of one of the other?

The access cab has less curb weight, but not much difference. The payload is actually a little higher on the access cab. They are comparable in almost all specs. You can seat five in the double cab and only four in the access cab. The toying capacity is about the same on each one as well.

On the newer models, the engines for these are the same as a standard. They are very comparable - probably it depends on whether you want a shorter bed or not.
