2012 TRD package

What is your favorite aspect of the 2012 TRD package for the Tacoma? Do you think the package is a worthy investment? How about the off-road TRD?

My neighbor just picked up a '12 Tacoma Crew Cab with the TRD Pkg. and it looks great! He told me the price for the TRD wasn't all that much. Then again, Toyota has some pretty good deals going on right now.

Theres actually 3 different options for the TRD package, my preference would be the 1st package because it's got items I'd really use like the locking r/r axle, tow hook, and skid plates. The rest of the stuff is just fluff, nice to have but I can work without it too.
Something different from what Toyota was doing previously is they dont offer any of the items as stand alone add ons, if you dont buy the package you cant get any extras, on the previous gen Tacoma you could dress it out with individual items any way you wanted, it might cost you more by choosing individual items instead of a package but you had the choice. Now it's buy the package or get nothing.

Just traded in a 2010 TRD Sport 2x4 for a 2012 T/X Pro 4x4. I a like the ride better on the 4x4 better than the 2x4. Along with all of things things listed above, IMHO the difference in ride allows the 4x4 to take off rude better while the 2x4 will take a turn better (but no more than 5mph, max. of 10 mph difference between the 2). And as far as the money goes, ALL are worth the money if you're interested in a Tacoma. Again the Tacoma, IMHO, is the Best money value for a mid sized truck.

The 4x4 is the way to go with this, hands down the best performance if you are going to spend money on a truck. It allows you to go so many more places; can't really think of a good reason to purchase anything that is 2wd.
