Toyota 4Runner SR5

This is a midsized SUV with the towing capasity that Toyota is known for. There is ample room inside for a comfortable and long drive, as well as being perfectly designed for the average city drive. The 4.0 Liter engine provides 270 horsepower and is capable of generating upwards of 278lbs per foot of torque. This engine is more efficient than previous models with 17 miles per gallon city and 23 miles per gallon high way capabilities. The miles per gallon does go down if you tack on the 5,000lb of towing capasity to the back of the SUV.

As with other Toyota vehicles, safety is an essential element of this vehicle. There is standard vehicle stability control, anti-lock brakes and Electronic brake force distrubutors as well as brake assist. This vehicle also offers an astounding 8 airbags to protect the occupants in the event of an accident. The traditional seatbelts are also standard in the vehicle to help keep all occupants in the SUV during a collision.

Now, just because it is an SUV, that does not mean the 4Runner SR5 cannot be used as a truck. The second and third row seats can be folded flat to increase the cargo space of the vehicle. This allows for greater storage and additonal hauling potential. Plus with the hatch window being able to open seperately from the gate, it is more like having a truck than ever before. There is even an optional pull out cargo deck. This deck is much like the gate in the truck and is capable of holding 440 lbs.

This sounds like a hit vehicle for all families. While this may not be the perfect vehicle as a workhorse in the construction fields, it can be a great way to move materials when working on the house or getting read to go boating. Do you own one? Do you like it?

That sounds good. The wife and I just looked at a 4runner the other day, not sure if we're gonna get it though.
