What are your thoughts on the Satellite options on the Toyotas?

I have never really dealt with satellite options on vehicles before. What are your thoughts on using the satellite systems now days? Benefits?

The satellite systems offer a variety of benefits for the user. Routes of travel can be planned, off road tracking is possible, as well as there are a large number of reference points within the system. This system also ties into the entertainment for the driver as well as communications.

What are reference points? I like the idea of being able to plan your routes of travel. Is it pretty simple to do?

A reference point is a point within the system that helps to provide you with information. If you had an actual map and could place a pin at a specific location, this is much the same with the satellite system. It is a navigational term to help you find your way from one place to another so to speak.
