Re: replacement seats. I found a pair of buckets AND the console from 1994 4Runner that I'm going to put in my '83 in a few days--$250 for all. The upholstery had holes in the driver's side, and no source for the original material. So I had them recovered. Not cheap, but they look like new now. We owned a 4Runner of that vintage once, and I recall that those seats are very comfortable. But remember, butts are not all the same & what's comfortable for one person can be torture for another. Total cost is about equal to some cheaper aftermarket seats.
