Hi,
I've had a 1996 T 100 for about 5 months now. It is a 4x4 5 speed manual 3.4 v6. Has many nice qualities, but a few very frustrating problems. Is there someone on this forum that one can communicate with regarding specific mechanical/performance problems. Thank you.

Welcome to the site. This is the forum for the Toyota T100: Toyota T100 Truck Forum

Post new messages, post pics of your truck, ask questions, give answers, share and learn. It's all good.

Had the ECU reprogrammed by A1 Cardone due to high engine idle, looping, and surging. Looping fixed. High idle slightly improved. Surging remains. Told when installing the reprogrammed ECU a "flash" needs to occur. ??? Anyone know about this. Also need to drive the truck for several hundred miles for the ECU to recognize and operate correctly. Thx

Flashing is a technology term to reset flash memory, which doesn't erase or go away when it's turned off. So to flash will clear codes or take it to default.
