Morning Everyone,
I live in Southern California. I have had all new Toyota pick-ups. First was a 1979 SR5 4x2. Bought it in Southern California. With its 2000cc engine and 5 sp tranny. A/C a must in SC. Relocated to Puget Sound area, bought a 1989 4x4 2200cc with no A/C. In 95 I bought a Tacoma SR-5 4x4 extra cab V-6, with 5 Sp tranny. Drove that 472K with replacement of the Tranny at 425K. Water pump at 285K. My buddy Mike in Federal Way bought it and now has over 1 Million on it. My present Tacoma is a 2005 TRD Sport 4x4 crew cab with everything on it other than a sun roof. It has 228K on it. Retired in 2010 the truck had 178K the day I retired. Haven't done anything on this truck other than standard maintenance. Looking to buy 2018 4x4 Toy TRD Off Road Crew Cab Long bed. The new one will probably be my last truck. The price of my 1st Toy was 2.4K. The price of my 2005 was 28K. The 2018 will cost 38-42K. Great Trucks.
