Increased low end response in the rain - why ?

my 2000 tundra spent its first 10 years of life on the humid California coast line. It now resides on the dry Canadian prairies. The 4.7 now has headers, a cold air intake and slightly better exhausting. I swear that when it rains (high humidity ) the low end jump is crazy quick vs dry ( low humidity ) days. What?

Humid air does not compress as easily as dry. It effectively raises the combustion ratio. That's why the Air Force used to have water injection on it's B52's.
