Is the front of this look like the torsion bars tightend. I want to get into this pick up and start this project . I need to learn about these things .

I'm not really sure of your question here.
Lets start with what year model your little one is from.
The paint job is certainly from the eighties.
If she has torsion bars she's an 86 on up, 84/85 have leaf springs up front.
For the most part, not knowing the original height of the truck makes it hard to determine if the torsion bars are torqued up, but if their at the top of the adjusters, or close to the top, they have been "tightened" as you say. Another indicator would be a very stiff ride.
