I have 1988 Toyota pickup truck that is getting fuel in the fuel rail but want run. Does these trucks have a fuel relay and if so where are they located. What could be wrong.

I bought mine, drove it around for 3 days then it wouldn't start. Wound up being a bad fuel pump.

Dropped the tank, replaced the pump and the fuel filter as well. Seems to run pretty good now.

Quick question, how do you know you have fuel to the rail? I was getting fuel up to the "Inlet" side of the filter (there is a pressure valve there you can push) but it still wouldn't run.

Assumption on my part is there was fuel all the way to the injectors, just not enough (high enough pressure).

How I isolated the problem was to give it a quick shot of starting fluid (don't do that very many times, not good for them) and it would run as long as the fluid was there.
