Bumpers

Hi all, I am looking for front and rear bumpers to fit a 1980 (Toyota) 4x4 truck. Please advise of any place where I could buy new or used in good shape. Thank you.

A couple of years ago, I bought a brand new (black) bumper off eBay for my '83 truck. There were also chrome bumpers--same type, just chromed. Decent bumper, but not suitable for towing.

Keep an eye out at local junk yards, e-bay, and craigslist. Maybe you local junkyard will be able to do a nationwide database search. Sometimes just riding around on country backroads you may see one parked in a field that you can ask about.

I don't want to be a party-pooper, but the old original rear bumpers on 80-83 trucks were not only flimsy, they were VERY prone to rusting, even on trucks that didn't live in the rust-belt. Even though the rest of my '83 was rust free, the rear bumper was a complete mess, which is why I bought a new one.

These guys have anything you need and you can view the truck parts needed. I found them to be excellent to deal with and the costs are VERY reasonable. Check out their site, I have nothing to do with their operation but they were helpful to me. California location so no rust.
