Have a 97 T-100, V6 4x4, auto tranny with 62,000 miles. The other day I noticed the rpm's going up to 2500-2800 shifting in the lower gears. Once I get to 50 mph its fine. Just the lower gears. I drained and filled the pan with new tranny fluid, old stuff was brown. Not a good sign. Any advice...

Put axle shafts back in, added new brake shoes, all runs smooth now. Just need to adjust my parking brake. then bleed system. I did bleed system with a measured stick but need to do it again with a body in the seat. Any tips on adjusting making brake? Not much info in the manual.

took carrier in to shop and they said all was good in there. took both axle shafts in and the right bearing sounds like the problem. I should be getting them back tomorrow. I did throw on the spare tire to before I took apart and it sounded the same. i didn't do it all myself but will save some...

pulled axle shafts, got carrier cover off, Do you need a puller to take off pinion flange and seal? I will keep everything like it was. Thanks for all the info.

I'm in the shop trying to get the diff cover off, I removed the rear driveline, and took the 10 nuts off of the cover. placed a chisel and lightly tapped to separate cover. Its loose but it won't pull off? Do I need to remove the pinion nut before I can pull off carrier/diff cover?

Don't think its the tires or wheel bearings. I jacked up and spun wheels. Sounds like its coming from Diff. Is this easy to replace? I'm no mechanic but I do do a lot myself.

Hearing a whomp, whomp, whomp sound from right rear when driving. Sound increases as I drive faster. brakes shoes? doesn't change when I hit the brakes. Does the rear wheels have bearings that you change? Tires are new. What do you think?

How do I check for freon quantity?

I think that is the sound I hear when you first press the button.

Wife has a 05 Tacoma, When pressing AC there's a quick little sound, then the light blinks with no cold air. Plenty of air just not cool. She replaced a MGCL relay with no luck. Any Ideas?

I have a 97 t-100 I bought 3 years ago, my gas mileage is going down. I have changed plugs, air filter, oil and filter, tranny fluid change. What should I look at???

Got em off, they had those cone washers that need alittle tapping.
