Hope you are using a quality socket. I would not try to remove any Allen or Torx style plug unless I was using a Snap On or MAC tool designed for the job. Anything made in China is total garbage and only good for a sinker on a fishing line. I wouldn’t waste my money on Chinese made crap !!

Take a look at BAKflip MX4, if you can afford their price. Durable folding cover that allows full access to the truck bed. Just a thought

The powder coatings I have seen begin to bubble then peel off of the metal it was sprayed on with massive rust damage underneath.

If you disconnect the engine mount and jack the engine over to the other side would you have more room to slide the compressor out?

If you cannot budge the compressor I would believe that there is a bolt you missed that is holding it secure

Have you tried removing it from the bottom of the truck?
