Knock sensor wire replacement. Help!

A squirrel chewed my knock sensor wire. I was told that the wire is shielded so splicing is nor advised. The engine light is on now. The dealer cannot seem to get this wire unless it's the whole harness............ $$$.

Is there a way to just buy the engine knock sensor wire itself and run it along the same route as the original? Is there anyone who knows where a person could find this wire? I was going to start out with the wrecking yards, but would sure like something that is nice and new...... Thank you to anyone who can steer me in the right direction!

I dont guarantee theyll have it but try Trdparts4u.com
Ive had plenty of good luck getting older oem parts through them.
They may possibly know of an aftermarket mfg too.
All the parts guys are off-road fanatics that drive old and new Toyotas.
