96 T100 Door Wont Latch

For some reason my T100 driver door wont latch(close). I thought it was a bad latching mechanism but it still does the same thing. Anyone have any ideas at all?

Does it just bounce off? See if it's stuck 1/2 way in the 2-stage closing process.

How loose are the hinge points in the door? While not a common issue on Toyota's I have seen hinge bushings cause issues like this. While the doors open try moving it up and down and observe how much movement you have, keep in mind a wiggle at the hinges equates to close to an inch at the latch.
