2013 Toyota Tundra

Tundra Highlights
It has been over 20 years since Toyota became a major player in the full-size truck arena with T100. Up until the newly designed 2008 Tundra came onto the scene, the always popular domestic full-size trucks made it nearly impossible for Toyota to compete in this market. Now, with the release date of the 2013 model on the horizon, the Toyota Tundra is definitely a major player with full-size truck buyers.

In fact, according to US News and World Report’s 2012 full-size truck ranking, the Tundra is a top 5 pick. Choose between a 4.0L, V-6 with 270 hp and available in manual or automatic transmission or a 4.6L or 5.7L V-8 engines that offers 370 or 381 hp and automatic transmission. It will carry a lot from earlier models and allow buyers to choose from regular cab, double cab and CrewMax body styles.

Tundra New Features
While the 2013 Tundra is not destined for a complete redesign, it will feature some minor changes such as a larger fuel tank, some cosmetic tweaks, standard anti-lock brakes, a new dash and a flared-fender cargo bed.

Tundra Exterior
Some minor changes are coming for the 2013 model including flare-fender cargo bed and slight changes to the color-matched or chrome front grill, tail-gate and chrome bumpers. The cargo bed on the 2-door model has an 8-foot cargo bed while the Access Cab extended cab features a 6.5 foot bed. The longest length of the Tundra is about 247 inches with the Double Cab Long Bed model with the overall width of all Tundra models at 79.9 inches. Other exterior highlights include standard 18-inch wheels on most models and 20-inch wheels on the 5.7L, V-8 models.

The V-6 models feature 5-speed automatic or manual transmission while the V-8 offers 6-speed automatic.
