transmision questions

I own a 89 toyota pickup base model. It has a 4 speed manual transmission G series. I am slipping out of gear when I shift. Looking to replace it . Found a 89 deluxe 4 speed manual G seires. Would like to know if it will just bolt up or do I have to rig it up to make it work? Thanks Tom89

Did you already verify with the mechanic if the problem is really transmission-based. It is possible that it is just a problem with the clutch which results in slipping gears.
