A security guard at a college stopped me to ask me about mine. He said he's had 2 front windows cracked from rocks and wanted to know if I've had any cracks since I've had mine. I guess they throw up a wall of air to sort of protect your front window from rocks. I thought it would protect the front of my hood but didn't know about the glass. Told him 6 years and no cracks. Cool old guy said he was getting one soon.

Yep same here. Not sure how much they protect the windshield from rocks since it doesn't seem to help with bugs. It does protect the front of the hood. I mostly got one for looks.

Wow - I actually had no idea that it would help with the glass.... I just love the way they look in general. Plus, I live in the boonies, so it helps me feel better about driving through brush... we have some huge deer around here.
