    Default '96 4Runner Alarm help

hey i'm new here, and need some help.

i have a 96 4Runner and just recently got a new battery. i tried to plug em in but when i do the horn goes off in a constant blast and i can't turn the car on. the only thing i can think of is that it has an alarm system that i don't have the thing for to disable it. my buddy suggested i go in and unplug it, and suggested that it could be underneath the steering column. so i undid it and couldn't find it. so now i'm stuck without a working vehicle.

would anyone have any ideas on what could be wrong with it? if it is the alarm, do you guys know where it could be located? i'm guessing it's a Stock alarm, not aftermarket. because it says "TOYOTA SECURITY" on the middle console between the seats.

if you could, i will reply quicker to email, if not this works

    i really appreciate the help

try this unhook the battery and leave it off for a while to see it the ecu will reset itself cause that controls just about everything in the suv .
