Default Spare tire location on the Rav4?

It looks like the spare tire could be where it shows on the back of the SUV, but then again most have it in the back under the floor, so where would you want it? I say in the back of the vehicle as a functional location rather than making it for appearance.

honestly, I don't know for certain. I've only been in the RAV4 once and I barely fit into it when I went to lunch with a co-worker. I would say that it's underneath the rear and it's probably full-size, but it may just be a donut?!?!?!?? Anyone know?

I think it's a full-size for the RAV4 and it's under the rear bumper for 2009 and later models. It was tailgate mounted on previous years.

Someone posted this on the web, thought it was pretty cool. It's an aftermarket sparetire accessory that also keeps it from being stolen I guess.

Thule Spare Me for the RAV4.

I work at a dealer. I've never seen one under the bumper or in the trunk. Its either on the rear or none at all if equipped with runflat tires. And I've checked over a LOT of rav4s its one of the best selling in Batavia NY

Well, I guess that would make sense to not have any spare if you have runflat tires. How many miles can you drive on the runflats if they get a hole or puncture or something in them? Now I'm curious.
