Got a good deal on a 2013 SR5 and pulled the trigger. Figured that if they do change the engine or trans that I would give them a year or so to get any bugs worked out and can buy one then. For now, the 2013 is fine as it gets better milegage then my 2005 Tundra 4.7. Do kinda miss the larger bed...

TruckRider, It would seem that with the various shows that have featured the Tacoma that we would know what engines and transmissions are in the 2014.

Been driving a Tundra and moving back to Tacoma. Trying to come up to speed on changes since my '95 and found reference to frame changes. Can anyone comment on the 2012 frame change good or bad?

Has the 26 and 30 been confirmed by Toyota? If so, this does mean new engines or at least a new transmission. If there is indeed a new engine then I would suspect a new 6 speed to go with it. It would most likely take both to get the mileage stated..

I have used Amsoil in several vehicles as well as two toyota trucks. I did oil analysis thru Blackstone for the first several years and my oil was good at over 20,000 however, I drop a filter every 6,000 give or take. Amsoil did not have a filter for mine so I used Mobil 1. I think any premium...

Googled upgraded sound system for Tacoma and found a bit. There have been posts here so I think that it will be an option. Will cross that bridge when I get the Tacoma. My 05 Tundra is running so good that I might wait a bit and in no hurry..Besides, if I do get the Tacoma then will sell my 2012...

Given that Toyota is gearing up in San Antonio, I would expect a very strong in the South West... Also, given that the Tundra is introducing many new features, it is doubtful that they would have competion from the Tacoma to draw attention away from the Tundra. That is not a sound business...

I hope the info that Toyotafan got is incorrect however, if any auto maker can sell an old model for a new price then I believe they will do it. With very little competition in the segment, there is no incentive for Toyota to create an new model with updated features because people will continue...
