Do you know how to remove the plastic covers over the base of the door rearview mirrors? Mine are not powered. I see a seam between the two halves. Just don't want to bust the plastic. The FSM doesn't explain this. Thanks

Do these mirrors attach to the front of the window frame or door mounted?

From what I'm reading on other sites you: "pop off the plastic cover on the base of the mirror from outside of the truck. You'll see a little cut out for a screw driver."

Let me know if that works.
