My '91 toyota is doing 1200 mile road trip net week and hauling my boat so wife decided I should see if I can get AC working. What I did know was bearing on compressor pulley was shot and idler pulley missing. Got the parts plus belts(belts at Rockauto $2.53 ea) for a grand total of $60. The whole job took about an hour and then squirted in the leak seal followed by refrigerant. Blowing stone cold for 2 weeks now! I can't get the clutch to disengage on compressor regardless of the shims and I have never worked on AC so I will just remove AC belt end of August. We don't get a whole lot of hot skanky weather up in our neck of the woods.
