Cold weather = loose hitch cover [Solved]

Thanks to the cooler temperatures, my OEM hitch cover is coming loose. I caught sight of it barely hanging on for the umpteenth time this evening.

The solution?

A couple rubber bands wrapped around the inside of the plug. Voila

Simple but effective. I considered buying a hitch cover but now with some luck I may find a factory cover laying on the road. That's where I found my ball mount...me thinks the PO's pin must have fallen out. Wife could not believe I spotted it laying on the bridge ,,stopped and scooped it up.
