1999 Toyota 4Runner Getting Hot!! What to DO?

1999 Toyota 4Runner overheating. Checked fluids levels. Where should I start and what all needs to be checked?

185, 000 miles on the 4Runner

Check that your thermostat is operating. Your fan is operating?? With any luck its just your thermostat or a faulty temperature gauge sensor

Did you ever find the problem? Was the fan the problem? If the fan goes bad, then your truck will tend to overheat.

1997 4 runner started to run sketchy then started overheating coolant level started to diminish. Turns out the white smoke from my exhaust was the coolant getting into the engine. Cracked block, 314,000 miles on one engine, I hope they still make me like that!
