My brake pads have started to wear down a bit and I'm looking at getting them replaced. Does anyone know if there is a better option than the standard stock Toyota Truck pads? I want my Tacoma to be as safe as possible and if I have to replace them I want to replace them with the best.
I think the Japanese are awesome engineers and I trust the product.
I also think that aesthetically Toyota's are just really good cars and everyone I know who has one seems pretty happy with them.

I feel like a bit of a newbie compared to some of you guys. I have 47,000 miles on my truck but I have to say I'm impressed with how well it's holding up, I had a Nissan Nevara before my Toyota truck and I was always having work done on it. Not the case with this one.
Sounds like you have had a bit of bad luck. Fortunately I haven't had any of the problems listed on here with my Toyota truck and hopefully I never do. If it's gone 230,000 miles I'd say it could be a lot worse. It's amazing just how durable these trucks are.
