I'm planning to buy a 2010 Toyota Tundra. It will be my first truck and we all know that it's quite an investment. I'll be using it for a lot of carrying from the city to my ranch and back. Rumors has it though that the tundra's got really flimsy sheet metal and poor body work. I am especially concerned with the tailgate.
My old '95 Tacoma just can't idle.After running for a while, and idling for about just a few minutes, it just dies and wont start for about ten minutes. So it's like a "hot-start." I have no idea what the problem exactly is yet. I had it checked after the first few times and the mechanic looked it over. The plug's not the problem, as it fires right up. I'm a truck guy, and I find the Tacoma and the Tundra very reliable than any others I've driven. For me the question is really just how much trust you put into Toyota and their trucks. And yeah, I will definitely buy another Toyota Tacoma.
2nd Generation Tacoma: I feel a heavy bump when I hit the breaks. I don't know if it's a problem with the breaks or too much torque. And my stick shift shakes a lot when I drive and when I release the breaks. I've been to the dealer a few times already and they say nothing's wrong with the engine, brakes, or the tranny.
