Breaks

Speaking of breaks, my Taco's really acting up. The ABS warning light is always on. I checked it out and had the codes checked out too. The code is 51, saying I need to open the pump motor ground and that the pump motor is locked. So before I have it replaced, is there anything else I need to check? My rig's a 2000 TRD.

It's a failsafe function. What you could really do is check your wiring. It could just be problems in the relay.

I tried cleaning up my wires and the ground connections, but I am yet to test drive my Taco. By the way, I also checked out the price of the ABS assembly, the one I might need fixing. It's a little short of $1000! I am definitely going to have to buy a used one.

Those things are expensive. But if it has to be changed to keep your truck moving, it's well worth it. And you better make sure you check everything out before buying a new assembly. It could still just be just the wiring and electronics.
