I think that me and some friends are going to expand our camping range this year. I would like to take a trip to the Olympic mountains and do some camping up there and enjoy the nature trails. But we may also want to take a trip to the "high desert" like in Moses Lake and go out in the sand dunes out there.

    How far you planning on expanding you travels to?
    Couer D Alene Forest or for that matter Saw Tooth Mountains and anywhere else in Idaho and Montana are great places to get back to nature.
    If ya head up into Canada on Victoria island theres som great places on the sound ward side (never been to the ocean side). I used to stay in Comox with the military and you could get away from everything within a few minutes. My parents bought a cabin in Cold Lake back in the early 70's and I camped and fished that area every Sept. for years (Salmon season) it's got a lot of wilderness.
    Take Canada 5 and you can go up to Kamloops or over to Lake Okanagan and see Ogo Pogo, either way theres lots of areas to get lost in the wilderness up there.
    But heck you dont even need to leave Wash. state to find plenty of nature just get a good GPS and start driving.
