The Toyota Tundra has a very well build and reliable transmission. However, all mechanical devices will break down, especially those that are abused or not maintained.

How's everyone like the transmission in the Tundra? Had any issues with yours? Let's talk.

I've got over 36K miles on my 2007 tundra limited and have had no transmission issues. As a matter of fact, the only issue I have had with the truck is that in cold weather the dash makes an annoying noise. After the dash has warmed up, the noise disappears. Probably due to expansion/contraction of the may plastic parts. Luckily, here in Central Texas our cold weather is of short duration.

I personally haven't heard of any major issues with the Tundra transmissions.

Has anyone had any issues at all with their Tundra's Transmission? Surely there must be some problems after a certain amount of mileage, but hell, Toyota makes well-designed components that don't easily fail so who knows?
