I just recently purchased a 3.5" suspension lift for my 04 tacoma trd by fabtech and when I got the instructions out it said you can only lift the truck 2" if it has auto locking hubs. Why is that? Is there anyway around it.

Yea, in big bold letters. I called Fabtech and they told me I can lift it 2.5". So I guess that is a little better. It looks like they would tell you this in the add.

Yeah, I would have a beed with them if I bought it for a 4" and they didn't tell me the expections when I bought it. Most companies do that.

Did you get this up 2.5" or did you return it?

well if it says in big bold letters that it can only really go up 2" compared to 2.5" due to the locking hubs, then it might be best to go for like a 3" lift to get it at the 2.5" spot you want

I wonder what the limitation is, maybe the lift alters the angle of the joints and messes with the lockers. just a guess.
